Adaptability. Plot twists included.
I can move from a creative brief to a customer conversation without using the same script for both. Research, agency work and sales have taught me to read the room and adjust the approach.
I’m Grace. I like a good idea and a plan to make it happen.
I work in marketing and sales in New York. I’ve worked on agency concepts, coordinated brand launches and helped customers make decisions about where to live and which phone plan to choose. Different briefs, same habit: understand the person before making the pitch.
UAL and NYU gave me the research habits; work gave me the follow-up emails. I’m interested in why people notice, believe or buy something, and what to do with that understanding once the research is finished.
Outside work, I draw, paint and photograph things I would otherwise walk past. I speak English and Mandarin, plus basic basic Spanish. The second “basic” is doing some work.

Made it here. Despite the subway.

When 1,200 people RSVP’d to Kinokuniya’s meetup, enthusiasm wasn’t the problem. Floor space was. My manager and I introduced first-come, timed tickets so the response had somewhere to go.
See how we handled demand ↗I want to know what makes an offer worth saying yes to. That can mean negotiating with a building, comparing phone bills or timing a walk from the subway. Sometimes the best sales tool is a pair of comfortable shoes.
See my sales approach ↗I’m happy to change the plan when the work calls for it. On a two-person pop-up team, that meant switching between window design, product orders, partner emails and invitations. A good idea still needs someone to check the delivery.

I like bringing people together around something they actually want to do. Sometimes that meant organizing an event. At UAL, it meant co-founding a ceramics society and finding a way to get everyone’s work fired.
Co-founded the society, organized sessions and coordinated professional kiln partnerships.
Ran social initiatives to help the student arts community reach more people.
Planned event layouts and coordinated cultural and social activities.
Supported nonprofit campaigns and Asian student communities in London.
Have a role, a project or a brief that could use a fresh pair of eyes? I’d love to hear about it. I’m exploring marketing, partnerships and account-facing opportunities.
